Oktoberfest in Munich
The Oktoberfest in Munich, also known as d'Wiesn, is the largest folk festival in the world. It has been held annually on the Theresienwiese in the Bavarian capital of Munich since 1810. The folk festival is an important economic sector for the city and has gained worldwide popularity over the years. The image of the German in his lederhosen at the Oktoberfest has become the international stereotype par excellence for Germany.
